Jimmy Cordero Suspended ~~ Jimmy Cordero, the Yankees right hander is under huge controversy. The Yankees pitcher has received a ban from Major League Baseball. Rob Manfred, Major League Baseball commissioner announced on Wednesday that Jimmy Cordero accepted suspension for the remainder of the season.

He violated the league’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. Cordero’s placement on the restricted list begins instantly and it will also extend through the post-season.

Cordero has played in 31 games with the Yankees this year and his performance is very good. He had a WHIP of 1.071 in 32 ⅔ innings.

Cordero has gained popularity over short period of time and he had become an important member of his team. The Yankees has given a statement in current scenario. It said,“The Yankees are fully supportive of Major League Baseball’s investigative process and the disciplinary action applied to Jimmy Cordero.”

“There is no justification for domestic violence, and we stand with the objectives, standards and enforcement of MLB’s” policy.” It is to be noted that Cordero will not be paid during his ban.

The Yankees are still to announce his replacement in the team.
