\u201cI am so proud of the trailblazing work Barker and I did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally,\u201d Burnet, who founded United Activists for Animal Rights in 1987, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were great friends over these 40 years,\u201d she added of the TV legend. \u201cHe will be missed.\u201d <\/p>\n
As previously reported, a spokesperson for Barker confirmed the sad news of the game show host\u2019s passing on Saturday.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for CBS, the network behind \u201cPrice Is Right,\u201d also told Page Six, \u201cWe lost a beloved member of the CBS family today with the passing of Bob Barker.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring his 35 years as host of \u2018The Price Is Right\u2019 Bob made countless people\u2019s dreams come true and everyone feel like a winner when they were called to \u2018come on down.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Barker and the animal rights activist were first romantically linked in 1983 and were together up until Barker\u2019s tragic passing on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The couple worked together on various projects to aid in animal rights.<\/p>\n
In 2018, Barker donated over 400 acres in Moreno Valley, Calif., to the nonprofit Donkeyland, which works with injured and sick wild donkeys and burros.<\/p>\n

While the two remained relatively out of the spotlight following Barker\u2019s exit from the CBS gameshow, Burnet gave a hopeful health update regarding her boyfriend in December 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s in very good health for his age and his humor is still in good shape. He\u2019s had a very charmed life,\u201d she said to Fox News at the time.<\/p>\n
Prior to his relationship with Burnet, Barker was married to Dorothy Gideon for 35 years. Gideon died following a battle with lung cancer in 1981.<\/p>\n
Barker and Gideon did not have children, and the emcee never remarried.<\/p>\n
