She added that it would\u2019ve been \u201cdangerous\u201d to wear her hair in a more traditionally feminine style, adding, \u201cI didn\u2019t want to be raped. I didn\u2019t want to be molested. I did not want to dress like a girl. I did not want to be pretty.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also talked about her very first album and talked about problems about execs have problem with the hair cut. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey wanted me to grow my hair long, wear short skirts and high heels and makeup and write songs that wouldn\u2019t challenge anything,\u201d she told The Sun in 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wasn\u2019t going to have any man telling me what to do, or who to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
In response to the absurd demand of the label, she went straight to a barber and shoved off whatever left of her locks. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey looked at Sinead\u2019s shaved head and went, \u2018Now we know what we are dealing with,’\u201d the star\u2019s first husband and frequent collaborator, John Reynolds, recalled in an interview with the same outlet.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a powerful statement from a woman, because it said, \u2018Don\u2019t f\u2014k with me!\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n
