He has given a statement in which he said,”I\u2019m deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an emotional post on Instagram mother Drena De Niro announced her son’s death. She wrote,”I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly,\u201d the actress captioned an old photo of son. \u201cYou have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Drena’s sadness can be understood with this post. She said,”I\u2019ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama.<\/p>\n

Other celebrities commented on this sad post and written obituary. Drena is the eldest of Robert\u2019s seven children. He adopted her in 1976 after marrying her mom, Diahnne Abbott.<\/p>\n
The cause of death was still to be determined. Leandro Di Niro was just 19 years of age. De Niro family is in deep sadness and pain after the loss of their young kid. <\/p>\n
